The untouchables are also theoretically placed in the category of sudras and hence their origin and position has also been discussed in some detail. \nR.S.Sharma (1919-2011) was an eminent historian and academic of Ancient and early Medieval India. He taught at Patna University and Delhi University. He was the founding Chairman of the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) and a historian of international repute. During his lifetime, he authored 115 books. \nSanagaram Nagabhushanam taught at BT College, Madanapalle.
